Justice is taking its course, but it will never bring this family’s daughter back.
The suspect in a Pennsylvania road rage shooting turned himself in, after he allegedly shot an 18-year old black girl in the head.
David Desper, 28-years old, was driving on the highway when Bianca Roberson tried to merge. That’s it. A common traffic situation that happens millions of times a day. Only this time, it ended in murder.
Desper, for unknown reasons, completely lost his cool with Bianca and shot her in the head with a .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun. According to his lawyer, he had a permit for the weapon.
Bianca was killed instantly. Her vehicle went off the highway and collided with a tree.
In the immediate aftermath of the incident, Desper fled. Photos of his red pickup were released to the public in order to help catch him, but Desper eventually turned himself in. He’s being held without bail.
"I feel that I would feel relief or excited and happy,” said Bianca’s brother about the arrest. “I was happy, but I felt down, thinking about that's the truck alongside my sister, her last moments of life."
Bianca had just graduated high school and had been admitted to college. Her goal was to pursue a career in criminal justice. And because of one cruel and unthinkable moment, her future was stolen and her family will be forever scarred.
"This appears to be a savage, senseless and brutal act from one human being to another human being,” said the district attorney. The state authorities also insisted that there’s no reason to believe this was a racially-motivated crime.
