Well, this is officially the greatest college recommendation in history:

Actress Yara Shahidi revealed that former First Lady Michelle Obama actually wrote a letter of recommendation for all of her college applications!

You’ll probably recognize Shahidi from the hit TV show Black-ish, but what you may not know is that the black/Muslim actress is a majorly outspoken feminist, and has even founded her own mentoring organization called Yara’s Club.

So it’s really no wonder why Mrs. Obama is a fan. The two met last year at Glamour’s International Day of the Girl event and, as you can see, they hit it off immediately:

Yara spoke about her relationship with Michelle to W Magazine. “She is very amazing and such a supporter, which is something very surreal to say,” the actress admitted. She also revealed that the former First Lady even gave her a backrub before her AP exams!

And then, for the real coup d'état, she actually wrote a letter of recommendation for Shahidi. Which is probably the coolest thing ever—can you imagine being the admissions officer who read Shahidi’s application? You’re used to looking at notes from high school teachers and football coaches, and then, out of absolutely nowhere, you get a letter from Michelle Obama.

How could you say no to that?!

When she’s not killing it on television and applying to schools, Shahidi is making waves on other platforms; she recently collaborated with Beyoncé on her Ivy Park athletic clothing line.

Is there anything she can't do?!
